The new Immigration Info-point of the Questura di Pisa was inaugurated in Pisa, at the headquarters of the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna. The Info-Point is the result of a joint initiative between the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna, the Scuola Normale Superiore and the University of Pisa
The Info-Point will facilitate the reception of foreign staff from non-EU countries who are going to study or do research in the three academic institutions in Pisa. In particular, the Questura di Pisa will dedicate one morning a week (every Wednesday) to processing the paperwork from foreign students, researchers and professors who need the bureaucratic and legal documentation to move legally and without barriers on EU territory. The administrative staff of the three universities will work at the desk on a rotating basis, supporting the Questura operators.

The numbers of non-EU students

According to the latest data, the number of non-EU students enrolled in one of the Pisan university system's educational courses is steadily increasing: almost 800 for the University of Pisa; 50 for the Scuola Normale Superiore's doctoral courses; 130 for the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna's doctoral courses and joint master's degrees.

The statements

"I would like to thank the Questura of Pisa, which has understood our needs. The immigration Info-Point is a service that will enable the university system in Pisa to be more attractive to scholars coming from non-EU countries" says Sabina Nuti, Rector of the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna.
